for you short and sweet it's back to Eddie Gallagher yeah this was the story I was talking about a few episodes ago that, you know, was going to get published sooner or later.

I had not really planned on breaking any news on this

I'm breaking any news on this story because there had been just so much reporting on it by others I mean and by others I mean everybody you know

uh... military times CNN fox i mean tons and tons of reporting on this case.

So when I see that I think, well, there's really no need for me to jump in there.

And there's probably not even anything new for me to report considering all these

other journalists and so on that are working on this stuff. But then I had a story kind of come to me in a way and I started developing it and it turned into a story that could actually be published.

The story came to me from sources within the Special Forces

community and they told me the story about how they were on a operation in 2010.

It was Marsha, Afghanistan.

There's a huge clearing operation.

It was a big deal in the press at the time,

and obviously a big deal for the military as well that they were clearing through this

insurgent stronghold in Afghanistan. It was considered the insurgent capital at the

time and a Special Forces ODA, a Special Forces team from Third Special Forces group was working with the
