The first one is American Song Contest.

This is on NBC.

It will begin airing on Monday featuring live original music performances representing

artists from all 50 states, five US territories in DC.

And they are competing to win the country's vote for best original song in eight-week

live event hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg.

Here's a little backstory on the genses of this show.

In 1955, this Italian journalist named Sergio was working for the state broadcasting company

and proposed this idea that blossomed into a song competition among the countries of
