| 0:20.0 | when Writing is hard. |
| 0:23.7 | Now some writers might hear that title and respond incredulously when isn't writing hard. |
| 0:29.9 | But as I'm sure all writers everywhere can attest, there are times when writing is hard in the normal sense, and times when it's hard, hard. |
| 0:39.0 | Often, the difficulty lies simply in the unwieldy story and the need for an ever evolving |
| 0:45.0 | understanding and ability in order to manage it. |

| 2:02.0 | Sometimes it's a matter of putting things other than writing first for |
| 2:06.3 | a while and coming to peace with that and other times it's a matter of using the |
| 2:10.9 | writing difficulties to help us work through what's really causing the block. |
| 2:16.6 | Until recently, I'd never experienced that second type of writer's block. |
| 2:22.4 | Plot block, sure. But I've spent my creative life |
| 2:26.2 | building a skill set that helps me efficiently and effectively deal with that. |
