I'm excited about today's podcast. I know you say Sean you're always excited. I'm excited. I just am. What we're going to talk about today is what is preventing you from succeeding. I'm going to share with you the five things that I have found that's probably keeping you from going to where you want to go, but yet you're going to look at what you're doing and you're going to be able to see what you're going to be doing.

You think this is the right thing to do and I'm going to just tell you that it's not all right. The very first thing is is you're seeking security and I'm telling you to take risks.

And I'm telling you to take risks. My dad, you know, had like many of your parents may have they had the same career for their whole life and the idea that you'd stay there, get a pension, move on. Well, we know that has changed.

Okay, and if the pandemic didn't show us that that you could basically work two jobs from home with nobody knew it. So the idea of employment and security, all that has changed.

And if you're over, you know, 40, you have seen the stock market do what it does. And so you know that there's some, you know, if you plan on retiring this year and it drops and you have all your money in there, the security you think you have you don't necessarily have.

So the first, you know, thing that you have to consider is, are you thinking too much security, you have a job, you're going to stay there forever, you have a business and it kind of has a certain size and you're not willing to risk anything.

I've always taken risk and at different ages, the amount of risk I would take are dramatically from A to Z coming out of college, I agreed to work for free.

When everybody's coming out of college and I had a degree and I could have got paid, but I wanted to skip five rungs on the ladder.

So to do that, I went to the, you know, the top of the top and bet on myself and said, hey, I'll work for free. I worked out pretty well and, and, you know, that person who I worked for this, you know, there has since been to my house has stayed in my guest house.

And, and that 25 years later, that was a great move. What, but it was a risk.

Now, I could have taken security, security would have been in take the job that I get offered out of college, stay there, spend 10 years.

But with it, I probably went in nine months, I ended up where it would have taken me 10 years by, by taking a risk.

Number two is, you're, we hear this all the time, you got to save money, you got to save money, you got to save money. I'm a big fan of saving, but I want wealth.

See, wealth is a different part of the game. Security is survival.

Security just gives you, you know, I've got, you know, three months of living expenses, nine months of living expenses, and I'm a fan of all of this.

But what we're talking about today is success, successes. No, it's a, it's a, it's a bigger, it's a bigger goal.

So where everybody else is thinking savings, I'm thinking wealth. I'm thinking of money that will well exceed my lifetime.

In my journal, I, I talk about having a trust that will be able to provide multiple things for generations of my family members.

One is savings, which is security and one is wealth. I prefer wealth.

Next is friends. You have great friends. I have the most amazing friends in the world.

But if you're trying to grow your business, you may need to switch from friends to networking, and this is the difference you can have both.

Hey, I have done big events with big people. And let me tell you, okay, it's a facade.
