Two weeks after that, I'm in my second worship service ever and I'm standing in water wearing a white robe and I'm being baptized.

And the pastor says, I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

And when I went underneath the water, it's like time stopped because I didn't know who my dad was.

And this man said Father.

And there was something visceral that took

place in the water that day. And I come out of the water and I feel like I got a father.

recorded when Elisa was spending some time with Robert on a day that I wasn't around. And we

didn't want to miss out on capturing Robert's wise perspective on what it means that God hears us

and sees us and knows us. Before we get into the interview, let me introduce you to Robert.
