Hey, Joe. Thanks so much. It's good. It's good to be here. I was looking forward to this.

Here we are. I'm honored. You, we were talking about this just before we started recording.

You've been in internet Catholicism for a long time, probably roughly about the same time I have, but with much greater success, I'm, I've got some

thoughts on this, but I'm really curious to know your thoughts over the last, you know, say,

I think 10 years or so is probably a pretty good metric for it over the 2016 to 2026.

What do you see has changed and what, if anything, do you see has changed?

And what, if anything, do you see has stayed the same?

2016 was a huge inflection point.

Like everything before that, it felt different than it did then.

Like that, yeah, 2016 was a big inflection point.

And then 2020 was a big inflection point and then

twenty twenty four was a big you know it's every four years it seems to be like a catastrophic

shift and yeah what's what's changed i think one one thing that i've noticed that was the big

shift in 2020 was when i was in high school and maybe this I don't

think this was just because I was in high school. I think there was a general kind of understanding

unwritten rule that Catholic celebrities, Catholic content creators, whatever,

don't talk about politics.

I think that was a big, that was kind of a line,

like a hard line that people refused to cross.

And that line was crossed, like in 2020.

And to a lesser extent, 2016, like, 2016 was kind of just like a moral, moral, like, repugnance to, like, the Trump campaign, right? It was just like, no, that's bad. But it wasn't anything beyond that. It was like, oh, Trump's, you know, not, not the Messiah. Like, yeah, okay, it's easy. It's an easy, you know, it's, that's not exactly like a a hot take especially if you're if you're a catholic um but the the political the political uh bend of the catholic
