Summary

I always thought that the fashion industry was just decadent, but apparently not.  Clothing possesses a profoundly spiritual aspect.  Most male birds like peacocks and cardinals are strikingly colorful while the female looks dull. However, last time I was at a charity banquet, the men were all bland and drab in black suits and white shirts while the women were resplendent in every color of the rainbow.  Does the difference suggest something useful about male/female relationships? Is the Bible, man’s book about God, or God’s book about mankind?  How to make a squirrel hibernate in July. The most effective way to wake up in the morning.  Making your subconscious work for you. Why last week’s podcast was withdrawn. Why the euphemism of ‘sleeping’ with someone makes sense. What happens when we don’t get enough sleep.  Why God just hates unisex clothing. Where do they know it from?

1:01.5

They know it from ancient Jewish wisdom, Bible-based information.

1:07.2

And on that basis, we understand, and this is an important point, that the Bible is not man's book about God.

1:19.1

No, the Bible is God's book about man.

1:25.3

The entire Torah system is a comprehensive and full picture of how the world

really works. And as a matter of fact, one of the items pointed out is that the world itself shows certain insights, how the

world really works, reveals certain realities. And one example is male and female clothing. And it's interesting because if you look in

the animal kingdom, if you look particularly at birds, but also at mammals, you will find that the male is much more colorful and more adorned than the female.

2:24.4

So, for instance, the lion has a mane decorating his head. The lioness is rather plain. A peacock is the male bird with its resplendent feathers.

2:41.7

The peahen, the female, is rather plain. And so it is with ducks and so it is with many, many other

creatures. The male is more colour colorful, the female is more plain.

Now, I suggest you take a look at any video clip of the smart set arriving at a show in Hollywood or at the Cannes Film Festival or anywhere else for that matter,
