On today's podcast, we're going to talk about why you're not succeeding.

Think about this for a second. Have you ever seen a rich person a millionaire win the lottery?

Ever. You ever seen the power ball go up and like a super rich guy wins like a football team or something

comes up there and goes, wow, it's just great to add this to my wealth. No, you never see it.

Do you ever see a doctor? No. Do you ever see a lawyer? No. Why is that?

Because successful, accomplished people know the math.

They would rather earn over time a great living, put money away, investments, build a company, whatever,

and dictate success as opposed to randomly in a one-in-a-billion winning.

And I have a lot of family members that play at a lottery.

Okay, that tells you the type of family I come from.

And they always ask me, are you going to play? I go, no, no. Why?

Because I want to dictate my wealth. They would love to wake up one day and be a millionaire.

And the statistical odds are, you know, they got to play this, you know, be one of, you know, a billion people.

Where I know, well, guess what? If I put away $300 a month from the time I get out of college

and I do that for 20 years stop and never do it again, I can be a millionaire.

I know if I buy two houses and pay them off before I'm 60, I can be a millionaire.

I know that if I start a business and my EBITDA reaches a certain point, I'm going to be a millionaire

or the valuation reaches that. I mean, I can give you lots of ways to be a millionaire

and winning the lottery is none that has never crossed my mind as being the strategy.

And so why is it? I think there's five critical stepping stones that people don't and are not willing to take.

And so they would put their hands in the fate of a lottery or in inheritance or something silly.
