I'm joined by Mr. Lee Cantor, the state moose biologist from the main department of inland, fish, and wildlife.

Lee, welcome. Really looking forward to this podcast for a really long time.

We've been communicating along the way. And I think the primary focus of our conversation,

we're going to talk about winter tick and how it is affecting main moose populations and maybe

moose populations in that region in general. But before we get too

deep in the weeds where the ticks are, maybe, let's chat and talk through. I want to get some of

your history, you know, your bio in biology, and, you know, learn kind of where you started and

where you're at now. And then let's jump into this winter tick syndrome,

whatever we want to call it.

But it's a really big deal,

and it's affecting moose populations in a very significant way.

Right, yeah.

Well, thanks for having me and bringing me on this,

because it's obviously it's what I do for a living,

and winter tick sadly unfortunately

has become kind of the driving force behind the moose population here in the northeast

and i won't speak from my neighbors and provinces and states but it's it's more far reaching

than just ma. Gotcha.
