With the 2022 NFL Draft kicking off tonight in Las Vegas,

every NFL team and fan feel like they can cement their future

and turn a broken franchise into a well old machine overnight

by adding the best prospects to their respective teams.

And while drafting smart and efficiently is obviously a lifeblood to any organization,

relying on a rookie to save your franchise year one is most likely a losing bet,

regardless of what position they play.

Very rarely do we see guys be able to come right into the league year one,

not Joe Burrow, and put a team on their back and lead them to the promised land.

It just isn't how football in the NFL works.

There's a much better chance of improving the short-term outlook

through free agency by adding players who have experience

and understand how the league works along with the speed of the game,

which you can compare to Superman's flight or one of Elon Musk's bullet trains to be honest with you.

Expectations for rookies should be very tempered and from a fan perspective,

you should hope they under-promise and over-deliver.

Just remember, these guys need time.
