Allegheny's divine comedy.

Born to Rante Allegheny in 1265, the poet who would come to be known as Dante was something of a maverick for his

time. Whereas the overwhelming majority of poetry back in his day was written in Latin, thereby making it only accessible

to the affluent and highly educated.

Dante wanted his work to be read by the masses.

So instead he chose to make the highly unorthodox decision to write his masterpiece in Italian.

This radical choice made Dante's work so popular that it actually cemented Italian as the primary language spoken throughout the entire country.

The Divine Comedy itself is broken into three books, each depicting a character based on Dante himself as he travels through all aspects of
