Summary

A new report says many of the sustainability claims made by beauty companies aren’t true, but we found a service that helps you vet the eco-friendliness of your favorite products. After that, Jenn takes you behind the scenes of a story on natural skincare ingredients she wrote for Allure. Plus: perfume for your ice cream, a heated debate about wearing fragrance on a plane, brightening concealers, a smoothing body serum that actually works, and the best Spotify playlist to help you get your beauty sleep.

Jen is recording from Upstate. That's right. I'm coming to you. Remember you told me to manifest

0:25.6

myself a house upstate? Wait a second. Did I?

0:29.3

Jen, I'm not joking around. I don't really know how I feel about that. No, I'm not a huge

1:27.1

like you would people would be manifesting their way out of like hunger. Yeah. But I manifest my

1:31.6

student abusive situations. Yeah. Yeah. Like all of the bad things that happen. It puts it on the

1:36.8

person like, oh, you didn't do enough to get yourself out of that situation when lots of things

1:40.8

aren't people's fault. Well, I think most most of life is is luck. I do believe that. But I do think

1:47.6

it. Yeah. Yes. Exactly. I'm a very adamant about that. But I do think I've seen with my own two

1:53.5

eyes and certainly having haven't chatted with lots of people on the show. I do think that people,

1:59.6

the power of will and want and hard work is a lot. So I think it's like those two things.
