half time show what we've read this year so far so exciting we were concerned because we were like

have we read enough books i had way too many books yeah this happens every single time we do one of

these were like if i've read a good book this year i've read all the books yeah and then you look at

your list and you're like oh no but first opria what, Oprah, what are you reading right now? I'm reading a book that I have been looking forward to reading all year. It needs no introduction by me. It is Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins' read. Exciting. You've written a ton of books that people love. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, a book that I recommend constantly.

There's so many, I love all of Taylor Jenkins reads books.

Everyone has been a banger.

This is set in Houston against the backdrop of the 1980s space shuttle program.

And it is about, mostly from the point of view of this woman who loves stars,

loves space, has wanted to be an astronaut for as long as she can remember,

and then she gets accepted into the program and to the space shuttle program.

And along the way, she meets another candidate who is

also a woman and she starts to realize that you know maybe the reason that when she was in high

school and she'd go on dates with these boys or or whatever it wasn't working for her was

because she actually likes women so it's so it's. So it's called atmosphere a love story.

And so it's both about space and it's about the competition between all of these

astronauts because only a couple of them can go to space and they're all competing

with each other, right?

But then also about their relationship, it's just really beautifully written it's so

gorgeous great i love it also because it's set in texas in the 80s which i appreciate and and it also
