0:34.5	and what you're doing over here. Dominic, welcome to the Crypto 101 podcast. Well, firstly, thanks Aaron for the kind words. I'm pleased to be here.
0:43.5	So tell us a little bit about your background. What were you doing before you started the
0:48.0	internet computer? Well, you know, I've always been, you know, there's always been this duality on the one hand.
0:56.0	I'm very entrepreneurial. On the other hand, you know, I'm a bit of a nerd and I like theoretical
1:02.2	computer science, distributed computing, you know, that kind of thing. So, you know, crypto became
1:09.0	the perfect place to me. But the last big thing I did before going full-time
1:16.4	in crypto was create a kid's game, an MMO called Fight My Monster, and it grew to several million users.
1:28.3	And this was significant because I also developed a lot of the systems that supported that game
1:37.3	and a very high degree of interactivity between its users.
1:43.3	So during the course of that,
1:46.7	I created the first production system
1:50.1	using something for Cassandra,
1:51.5	which is a decentralized database,
1:53.3	which makes it very, very easy to scale out data storage
1:58.1	and processing,
2:00.3	and also created a horizontally scalable game server that could
