What is up, everybody? Mark on the mic, Mr. Ryan Muckinhern, to my right. And across from us, we have Corey and Chris from Vortex Edge. If you're watching on YouTube, you can see a variety of pistols on the table with us today. And the topic of discussion is selecting an EDC pistol. And we're going to get into like kind of the who, what, where, when, why, and what might be the best fit for you. I think it's part of selecting an EDC pistol is fit. Heck yeah. Remember that song, Don't Be Jealous in my EDC? No. YouTube sensation? No. Oh, wait. I have seen that.

Yes.

It's been a while, though. Is that an oldie but a goody? Oldie but goody. Check it out. That's right up there with Lenny Pepperbottom. Another oldie but goody. Yeah. Man, I tell you what, Lenny gets quoted still today. Daily. Yeah. Daily. Gentlemen, you shoot pistols a lot at Vortex Edge.

1:12.5

You train people to shoot pistols a lot at Vortex Edge.

1:12.5

You train people to shoot pistols.

1:15.4

What do you guys see?

1:16.5

What are some of the most common questions folks have when they're saying, hey, I'm

1:20.4

trying to pick an EDC, or what are the things that you really dive into that you think

1:25.3

are the core considerations?

1:28.5

I think some of the things that I see at our classes are people are concerned with capacity,

1:34.0

shootability, and specifically speaking about EDC, just concealability,

1:40.5

are the big three that I think I hear the most being brought up.

1:44.8

Of those, which ones do you think are the most important?

1:50.5

I honestly think that, and I say this at every single introdipistol class,

1:54.3

where if you pick up a handgun with your goal being to make it as small as possible,

2:03.5

then, you know, at least in my experience, like really small microguns don't often produce, produce the most polite,

2:09.5

like shooting experience. And if that's where your head's at, then you're not really going to

2:14.8

shoot it a lot or train with it. And if you're not training with it, then what's the point of carrying it? Right. So to me, that's, that's kind of like the hill I die on the most in terms of like trying to steer someone or coach someone into making a good informed decision before they buy something for concealment. For sure, for sure. Corey, what are your thoughts on that?

2:34.8

Yeah, I agree with Chris, too.

2:36.3

Just the size of the gun gets really honed in on, especially when people, like, they want to carry it around all day. Well, and it's in the name. Concealed carry. The size is going to be one of the biggest factors in concealment. Yeah. And, you know, it makes sense, like logically when you're thinking about it, like, oh, I want to carry this thing on my body all day.

2:53.4

I want it, like, a nice small gun. seal man yeah and um you know it makes sense like logically when you're thinking about it like oh
