Following my brother's death in Afghanistan.

came out earlier this year, independently published, and then I know you say in the book

Renee that it like, publishers were telling you this was going to take years and you got it

done relatively quickly and it's doing well and getting great reviews.

Yeah I started the process a year ago.

So I had no experience writing books, mostly just college papers.

And I started probably October and of 2017 and contacted an author coach so she kind of just guided me through my outline and then gave me deadlines.

So she would tell me, you know, I need this many words or this much done by in the next 30 days.

And I pretty much had the full manuscript done in three months.

That's fast. Yeah. Really fast. Especially something like this which I mean this is

an easy subject matter to write.

Yeah, I had, I didn't plan on it being

such a short amount of time to write,

but the way my publisher explained it to me was, you know, it would just be better to rip the band-aid off a lot quicker than it would to basically relive all the trauma for the next nine months to a year. It was better for my

family. I got four kids so it was just a lot better to you know get it done.
