talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce. Thanks for listening today. Today we're going to be talking about

Jacob one through four. We want to let you know right up front that Jacob two is

going to have a few verses about plural marriage and we are going to talk about that in depth and a lot of

that will be done later at the end of the podcast and so we're going to go

through Jacob 1 through 4 and just kind of look at the text but then we're going to untangle some of those issues as far as how they relate to church history

doctrinally at the end of the podcast. So as we start off, we read in Jacob 1 that it's been 55 years.

Nephi, he's going to die, and Jacob, the younger brother born in the wilderness,

is going to share his testimony of Christ.

And so here we go with Jacob one. This is a

transition from one leader to another and as much as I love Nephi and it breaks my

heart to see him go but it really is nice to see someone else

kind of be called to a new position

and how they approach their new calling.

So any of us who have been called to a new calling,

especially calling of leadership, here's a great reminder

to watch a prophet become a prophet, and where is mind goes?
