We're talking today about free trade and some of the arguments that are typically raised against it, but we're also going to take a few moments to talk

about the Trans-Pacific Partnership that is being discussed in a number of quarters and people

are panicked about it, people are against it.

We're going to talk about that. It looks like another managed trade agreement. What else is new?

So we're going to talk about what the potential downfalls of the Trans-Pacific Partnership are,

even while at the same time favoring the lowering of tariffs as a general principle.

We're joined today by Richard Ebbling, who is past president of the Foundation for Economic Education

and is currently BB&T Distinguished Professor of Ethics and Free Enterprise Leadership at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

He's the author of numerous books and is the editor of the three-volume Selected Writings of Ludwig von Meeses.
