Summary

In the special segment “Stump the Moms,” Laura and Shanna quiz each other about old-school pregnancy tests, the shocking resale value of kids' toys, the cost of giving birth in the 1950s and more! Also, Laura reports on the sweet relief of her kids returning to school after winter break and her 4-year-old getting his first eye exam, and Shanna talks about the surprising result of sending her kids to a week-long "field trip" camp. Finally, they wrap up with their weekly BFPs and BFNs, including a toy that will excite your kids for bath time and a sweet local event that will inspire you to check the activity calendar at your local library. Shanna’s kids are 7 and 9.5 years old, and Laura’s kids are 7 years old and 4.5 years old.

Oh, good, because that's what I was going to ask you to do. Great. As usual. Yeah, what's going on in your

world. So the kids are back in school this week, which is a very nice change, I have to say.

0:41.7

Well, Augie, he had Monday and Tuesday off, but he went back Wednesday.

0:44.8

So by the end of the week, both of them were back in school.

0:47.4

Nice.

0:48.2

We've had a little bit of time to get back into a normal schedule, and the kids did not like that. The kids did not want to go back to a regular schedule, but they did.

The transition is hard back from these breaks. Super hard. Augie, for the first time, since he's been to his new school, has really started saying things like, I don't want to go to school. I don't have any friends. And, you know, like all this stuff that really is pulling at my heartstrings. And when I pick him up at the end of the day, he's fine. So, like, I'm not too worried about it. You know, like, I'm not like really fretting so much about it. But it does, you know, it's just like, it just makes it extra hard

1:29.5

to get ready in the morning, you know?

1:31.3

For sure.

1:31.8

1:43.0

It's like so sad.

1:45.2

But other than that, it's been a pretty good week back.

1:48.0

One change is that we found out over the break that there was an opening in the aftercare

1:56.4

Oh, nice.

1:57.5
