Summary

A college drinker whose alcohol consumption really ramped up in law school after she was diagnosed with anxiety and put on medication, Ruthie never imagined alcohol was contributing to her stress. Booze was supposed to quiet her mind, she thought. There were hangovers so bad she missed study groups. Weddings and other big events became excuses to over drink. 1:16.3	edition of Naked Life Stories. Today, I have Ruthie with me. Ruthie, how's it going?
1:21.6	I'm good, how are you? I am good. I am good. I have been looking forward to this, so you and I
1:27.7	work together actually in one of our path groups. We'll get to that later. But I want to start all
1:32.7	the way at the beginning with you. Take us back to the very beginning of your drinking journey and
1:37.7	kind of how did it all start and we'll just work our way through it from there. Sure.
1:43.5	So I was never, I didn't really start drinking until college. I think I had one or two beers
1:50.7	in high school. It never really attracted me in high school. And then really after freshman year
1:57.4	in college was when I started to drink heavily. I would say I'd had a pretty typical college
2:03.9	experience in terms of occasional binge drinking or drinking more than I should.
2:10.5	In those days, I was able to wake up, fresh eye, and able to move on. As I think many college
2:20.2	people do or many people at the beginning of their drinking journey do. So I would say that
