Summary

Vaccines are supposed to prevent disease, but what happens when a disease begins to outsmart its vaccine? Today we discuss research out of UCLA that shows getting the pertussis vaccine as a child will make you more susceptible to catching the disease. We also show you a CDC report that shows pertussis is mutating to avoid vaccine-induced immunity, and how all 90 people with pertussis in the current Los Angeles outbreak are vaccinated.
