Donovan and I went back to Tony and Guy Academy in L.A., this time with Kristen Michelle and Louis Chivray.

And we talked about everything here and salon related. And a little

context for the beginning. Right before we began recording, the school's director gave a

morning announcement to the students regarding some new policies that included getting

better at retail sales. So that's what I'm referring to at the beginning.

I just wanted to, first of all, I liked being here for that.

It made me feel like part of it a little bit, what you guys, you know, do.

Sometimes fun, sometimes not fun, right? But that's life.

And he mentioned retail sales, which is there's a big shift happening in retail sales.

And this isn't actually part of the interview, but big shift happening in retail sales because of Amazon, right?

And because of the independent movement, a lot of hairdressers think that when they become independent,

they no longer necessarily need to think about retail sales.

But in my opinion opinion and in the opinion

a lot of people at salon republic it becomes more important i mean it's just it's almost free money

in your pocket we did a podcast interview a couple weeks ago called what your clients are thinking

but won't tell you and donovan and i I, this is Donovan, by the way.

He does our social media, videography, editing, all that kind of stuff.

We went out to Santa Monica on the street, and we have this hair game microphone,

and I asked random people, where do you buy your product?

And we interviewed probably 35 people.
