Peter who had never gone to seminary and was a fisherman by trade,

went on to preach the gospel with such anointing, such conviction and such power that that day,

3,000 people got saved.

Now in verse 41, we read that with many other words he testified and strongly urged him saying,

be saved from this corrupt generation.

So those who accepted his message

were baptized. And that day, about 3,000 people were added to them. Now, I mean, don't forget,

this is the St. Peter that had walked with Jesus. He'd witnessed miracles. He listened to the

word himself, proclaim the word. and yet being with Jesus alone.

It didn't empower him to be a witness for Jesus.

Remember he's the guy that denied knowing Jesus.

So just walking with Jesus didn't give him the power to be a witness for Jesus.

But when he was filled with the Holy Spirit, well, what happened?

He got up with courage, he preached at that day, 3,000 people were saved.

I want you to know today that there's a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit available for you.

We're living in chaotic and dark and divisive days, and we all need the power of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Christ in these days.

So if you're feeling weary, defeated, overwhelmed or numb, I'm believing for you to have a fresh encounter right there on the other side of this screen with the Holy Spirit.

We've all faced moments where faith feels tired or peace feels so far away and we seem to have

lost our joy. But flourishing is not found in the absence of storms or challenges. It's

actually found in digging deeper roots.
