The past three days have been three of the most exhausting, exhilarating, frightening,

three days combined of any period that I can think of in modern American history.

We saw the officer who shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times.

We saw that the DA there decided they would not be charging the officer.

Hours later we saw Rafael Warnaq win an election for the Senate in Georgia.

Each one of these things deserves an entire episode.

When we woke up the next day, it was time for Congress to certify the election of Joe

Biden and Kamala Harris and in the middle of that Donald Trump ordered his followers

to go to the Capitol and confront Congress people for what they were and were not doing

and they did that very thing and they literally took over the United States Capitol.

While they were doing that, John Assoff was declared the winner of the other seat that

was open in Georgia and now we are living in the aftermath of all of this.

The election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was certified late last night and here we are.

It's hard to celebrate Warnaq and Assoff the way we should, it's hard to celebrate.

Black leaders and organizers for all of the phenomenal, I mean historic work that they

did in Georgia.

Their moment in some ways has been stepped on.

The moment was getting Warnaq and Assoff elected and that happened but today should

be another day where we are just celebrating black organizers including brilliant black

women who led the charge with so many grassroots organizations and voting rights organizations

there in Georgia.

But instead we are dealing with the fallout of four people dying after predominantly white
