Hey everybody, happy new year. I am so, so glad to be back with you. I've been gone now for a

couple weeks. I had a next surgery my second of the past month and I am recovering well.

And today is an exciting new year's episode of The Breakdown. I am super pumped to announce here

that my friend, my brother civil rights activist and organizer Gary Chambers is absolutely running

for Congress. He just announced it officially today and released his first ad.

And a second, I'll play the audio for that ad and I have a little secret about it as well

that I want to share. But I'm just, I'm encouraged, you know, it is, it is still going to be a really

difficult year. We still have a lot in front of us. The final votes in the two special elections in

Georgia are tomorrow. So there's a lot up in the air and Donald Trump is still Trump. The

coronavirus is still the coronavirus. But I want to share this good news with you today. All right.

we have something hopeful and there's a lot, there are a lot of reasons to not be hopeful about

politics. And I'm an optimistic person like I'm a half full, three fourths full kind of guy.
