Texas has officially launched Operation Lone Star to secure their southern border and finish President Trump's wall.

All right, gang, let's dive right in here. The nation of Texas. Did I say nation? Forgive me. But for the way they're stepping up and rising to the occasion here to protect our borders, they should be knighted in nation.

But as of now, yes, the state of Texas is indeed rising to the occasion to address the complete and total chaos at our southern border.

Governor Greg Abbott has announced the employment of what's being called Operation Lone Star to combat the surge and smuggling activities of the border, the smuggling of both people and drugs.

According to the El Paso news outlet K Fox 14, the operation integrates the Department of Public Safety with the Texas National Guard and deploys air, ground, marine, and tactical border security assets to high threat areas to deny Mexican cartels and other smugglers,

the ability to move drugs and people into Texas. According to governor Abbott quote, the crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration.

Texas supports legal immigration, but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause rather than prevent a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans.

We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis. Now this announcement comes on the heels of reports that border patrol agents apprehended approximately 10,000 migrants in the Rio Grande Valley sector over the course of just seven days.

And so Operation Lone Star is sending law enforcement personnel and resources to designated high threat areas of the border to deny Mexican cartels and other smugglers, the ability to move drugs and people into Texas, but it gets even better. Check this out.

A Texas legislator is pledging to complete sections of President Trump's border wall proposing new legislation that would enable the state of Texas to step in and resume and complete the construction.

Brian Slatton of House District 2 has introduced House Bill 2862, which would authorize the state of Texas to finish what President Trump has started.

In his words, quote, if the federal government won't do its job protecting American citizens, then Texas will stand in the gap and do it for them.

In an official announcement, Slatton said quote, President Trump fought to bring real border security and was opposed by Republicans and Democrats in Congress.

While hundreds of miles of new wall were built under his leadership, the Biden administration has already ceased border wall construction.
