I have exciting news for all of you today, and that is I had a birthday.

Yes, I did.

And I took my family, my husband, my son, his wife, who is like my daughter, and my three

grandchildren, and we went up and spent a week up in Lake Michigan overlooking

that beautiful lake. And this is what I've learned for sure about birthdays, is if you want

your birthday to go a certain way, make sure you plan it and do what you want and let anybody know

who's going to be around you what that is. Do not, at least this is what I learned over the years

that I've been on this earth, is that when you expect other people to fulfill what you want on your birthday

without them knowing it, you will be disappointed. And what I know for sure is I don't do that

anymore. And this birthday was glorious because I planned it the way that I wanted it with the people that I wanted to be with.

And I'll tell you, wow, that's all I can say is it's magnificent to be me. That's how it felt on this

birthday, that it was wonderful to be who I am, to be with who I was with,

to be where I was at this time in my life. And I tell you that because everything in your

life has so much to do with how you think about things. So when I was younger, I used to be very disappointed
