In other words, we want the outcome of discipline without the process of

transformation. We want wholeness while avoiding wounds. We want depth, but we're not willing to

die. We want to have authority, but we're unwilling to submit. We want a resurrection without a cruciform

surrender. In other words, A Zypik is a cultural artifact that tells us something about the

nature of our laziness and our desire for comfort over discipline.
