Summary

What do you do when something is working, but your heart is telling you to make a different decision?

In this episode, I share a big change I recently made in my business and walk you through exactly how I made it. I talk openly about deciding to take an extended break from my 2 Million Dollar Group, why that decision surprised even me, and why I believe transparency around business decisions matters so much. I take you inside the thought process behind letting go of an offer I love in order to double down on what I believe will create even bigger impact in the future.

Hey coaches, welcome to episode 378. Today I'm going to announce a big decision I made

0:25.3

recently and walk you through my decision making process. I have a commitment to being transparent

0:34.9

for all of my students and my podcast audience because I teach entrepreneurship

0:42.2

and because I teach business. I think every time I make a big decision, it's so valuable

0:48.7

to tell you my thoughts and my decision-making process so that you can learn from me, even if you're

0:57.6

not at this stage yet in your business, I think it's valuable. What also happens I've noticed

1:04.0

is that when coaches who have big names in the industry and lots of success in the industry

1:10.6

make decisions and give vague success in the industry, make decisions

1:12.0

and give vague reasons for those decisions, especially if they've created a lot of consistency

1:18.9

in their business, which likely they have because they're hugely successful, it can feel

1:24.4

scary. And when our brains are scared and when there are gaps in understanding,

1:31.0

we fill in what we believe is our understanding. Like we fill in the details. And typically,

1:38.6

we do that in a negative way. So recently I was coaching a client in my entrepreneur coach membership. And she was saying

1:48.0

how there's a lot of big names in the coaching industry who have made a lot of big changes.

1:51.9

And that has, for her brain, led her to believe something is really wrong in the coaching industry

1:59.0

and that things are really bad. And so these coaches are having

2:02.3

to make these changes because there's something wrong in their businesses. There's something

2:07.5

deeply wrong in the industry. And the coaching that I gave her, the coaching I gave the room is that

2:14.1

really truly, this is from all or nothing thinking, right? Like every big coach, you know, successful coach in the industry that makes a big decision

2:21.9

must be making it for the same exact reasons.
