Our ears have been designed to listen, right? We've been designed to hear. And if you're not

speaking into the void of that young man, somebody is. If you're not teaching your kids,

your next door neighbor is. I remember when my next, when my kids came to us and they had said

a bad word and I looked at them, I say, so where did you learn that? And they knew that something

one of my kids,

knew that it was really bad and kept saying it until I had to tell them to physically stop, right?

I said that so-and-so the neighbor had taught us that.

And there's a point there.

If you're not discipling your kids, somebody is discipling.

If you're not being disciples, in reality, you really are. You know, go back to listen to our podcast from a couple days ago or last week, right, with their

smartphones. There are people and things that are vying for your

time. And if you're not listening to the sweet voices of

Christ found inside the Word of God, well then the sirens will dash you up against the

rocks with their waves, and they will swoo you away with their sweet voices that will not make

any sense. It'll seem to be heady, but there will be no substance to it whatsoever.
