The Detroit Lions yet again managed to do what no one expected. Chris was laughed at for saying the Lions could beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he was right, they could have. Instead, they avoided losing out the season by landing a tie against the Steelers at Heinz Field. Its a perfect fit for the ongoing story of the Detroit Lions 2021 NFL season. Detroit Lions Podcast Takes Stock While the Lions didn’t win the game, they didn’t lose either, and with quarterback Jared Goff suffering an oblique injury, the Lions are likely to test out their backup quarterbacks and add a whole new level of angst to fans for the season. Its a no win scenario really, Boyle or Blough sizzle? The crucifixion of Jared Goff will be locked in. They stink, and the questions about the direction of the team will be legion. There are seven games left in the season after the game against the Cleveland Browns this week (which we will cover in depth), but we sense that the conversation around Jared Goff is only going to heat up with each passing week.
