well well you've come back for another episode of our teaching on understanding the holy spirit

today i have a special teaching by one of my favorite people on the entire planet he's not only

working on his phd in pneumatology hello he's brilliant and if you're like um what's pneumatology i got you back friend because i didn't know either pneumatology. Hello, he's brilliant. And if you're like, um, what's pneumatology?

I got your back, friend, because I didn't know either. Newmatology is the study of the Holy Spirit.

So yes, not only is this man getting his PhD in pneumatology, he also leads the Father's House

Orange County alongside of me. Yep, you guessed it. Matt Olthoff is the guest on this episode,

and he really just breaks down in the most simplistic form, who is the Holy Spirit.

If you know me, I'm illustrative. I love to tell stories. I love to go deep and Matt just loves making things super practical.

This teaching he actually gave on the topic not too long ago and I'm like, wait, why should I reinvent the wheel?

I'll let Matt teach this segment. So without further ado, let's pop into this short teaching

by Matt Oltoff entitled, Who is the Holy Spirit? We're going to continue on in this Holy Spirit

series, have you heard? But it's based on this passage in Acts 19, 1 through 2, says this.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through

the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples, some followers of Jesus,

and he asked them, did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they answered, no,

we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. And so some of you, some of us in this room,

we might find yourself kind of like the disciples. We really haven't heard about the Holy Spirit. Or maybe you've heard about the Holy Spirit,

but it sounds a little crazy. Or maybe you've had some bad teaching on the Holy Spirit. And so we have

all these different reactions to what the Holy Spirit really is. And here's what I want to do is

today, I want to make this incredibly clear

and simple so it can be a foundation for what God does in us in our lives in the future.
