Last week, we reared our interview of Senator Josh Hawley from last October.

As we mentioned, our focus on conservative debates about the free market,

great power competition of China, and the focus on Big Tech really hit the nose

right after the COVID-19 outbreak.

So seeing all of you guys love that episode of Senator Hawley,

this week, we decided to give the people what they want,

and we're going to throw back to our episode of Boscar Sincara last September.

Right, so out of all of our episodes, the conversation with Boscar was really one of our favorites

to report, especially because it quickly shifted from a traditional interview about his new book,

The Socialist Manifesto, to a debate about the free market versus socialism,

along with America's role in the world.

Now, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your perspective there,

our episode with Boscar wasn't nearly as prescient as last week's with Senator Hawley.

At the time, Marshall and I definitely believed that Senator Bernie Sanders was going to win

the Democratic nomination, and that the 2020 campaign would come down to this grand ideological

debate about capitalism and socialism. Of course, what ended up happening is that the COVID-19

pandemic hit is that Bernie Sanders ended up doing way worse than he did the last time around

in the Democratic primary, and that largely a lot of the electoral things that they thought were

going to come to materialize for them did not work out so well.
