Hey everybody, this is the hair game and in this episode we talked to Alexis and David Thurston,

a butterfly loft salon, butterfly circus, and pulp riot fame.

I've gotten to know these two over the last year or so and our offices are actually very close to each other in L.A.

So Donovan and I

cruised over there and we sat down for this conversation. This was right

before they announced their sale to L'Oreal. So after the conversation I'll

So Alexis, why don't you tell us where you're from and how you got to hair?

Well, I mainly grew up in Santa Barbara, California.

Not a bad place.

It's kind of one of those places that you don't know how awesome it is until you leave.

And then had the opportunity of moving to Sao Paulo, Brazil, my last two years of high school.

So I got to live in South America, which was amazing and travel around.

Why was that?
