Summary
Nordic ski racer Andy Liebner grew up in Soldotna, Alaska learning to ski and play in the Alaskan outdoors. He now resides in Michigan and runs his own company United States Ski Poles manufacturing American made cross country ski poles employing 120 people. Andy spends some time with Curt teaching us about Nordic or Cross Country skiing as well as relates a few good stories from his favorite adventure sport. Andy also recently returned from 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea and describes what it was like to join the athletes from around the world and even those from North Korea.

I ended up throwing the poles off the side anyway, and I skied about five kilometers into the race with the lead pack, without poles. And it was just so thrilling. I just kept it going. I kept it going. And I said, oh, hey, maybe I can win this thing it'll be amazing I don't know but not have both and so I took the lead um it was a 10k and I took the lead |
