bioidentical hormones. This was one of the most difficult subjects to research and to write about

in the supplements that you buy, not to mention the fillers, and what the actual substrate is,

supplements. The whole subject, very frankly, was shocking start to finish. But today I just

want to talk about bioidentical hormones or the idea that a pill can replace what our glands make.

When your hormones shift,

whether it's because of menopause or perimenopause,

post-hysterectomy or adrenal burnout,

I'm not sure that there's such thing as adrenal burnout,

but maybe it's more of a burnout of the HPA axis,

which is adrenal is the A and HPA. There's also two other glands involved. The symptoms can feel overwhelming. Women complain about hot flashes, mood swings,

fatigue, low libido, grain fog, feeling like you've lost yourself.

You don't feel like yourself anymore.

And of course, men have some of these things too.
