Welcome to Big Fat Positive with Shauna and Laura. This week we have our weekly check-ins. We have our special segment, gripe water, where we get full permission to complain about communication breakdowns and noise pollution. And we close with our BFPs and BFNs for the week. Let's get started. Hello, everyone out there in podcast land. This is episode

0:23.3

354 and Shana, hello. Oh, hi. Hey, how's it going? You don't surprise that I'm talking to you

0:32.3

as though this was not pre-planned. I know, well, I thought you were going to say,

0:35.9

Shauna, how are you doing? Or something. I was waiting politely for the rest of your sentence. I like to keep you on your toes. You know, we're 354 episodes in, but we want to keep it fresh here on Big Fat Positive. That is right. But part of the allure of Big Fat Positive is even though we keep it fresh, we stick to the plan.

0:55.1

So let's get right to it. Let's stick to the plan. What is your check-in for this week?

0:59.4

Ooh, I will tell you, this week was really fun because Nana came to visit and we got to spend a few days together.

1:07.0

And there were a lot of things we did that were just really fun and really bonding with Nana that I want to share.

1:23.9

It's a rent-a-nana.

1:25.6

Yeah, rent-a-nana.

1:27.5

Yes, Nana is my mom, and she flew in from Phoenix because she hasn't seen the girls in a couple months, and she always likes to try to come and visit at least every couple months, three at the most.

1:38.2

So I love that she does this, and I appreciate her coming to visit so much because, as you know, it's not easy for me to travel with my kids who complain of car sickness after like 13 minutes on the road.

1:51.2

You know, I was just reminded of the elaborate bib situation you'd have to have.

1:57.0

Was it for Elle when she was a toddler in the car? Oh my gosh, Laura, the things you forget about

2:05.6

your past. Yes, I found online these super bibs that were about the length of her body. They were so

2:14.4

huge and I'd put it on her in the car seat because she would barf so much from

2:18.9

car sickness. Those were the days. I cherished every moment. Yes. Yes. Cherish every moment.

2:29.9

I will say a lot of parents will be like, oh, things don't get easier. They get older. Things get harder.

2:34.9

It's like there are certain things that really do get easier.

2:37.9

This is one of them.

2:39.4

Yes, yes, yes.
