today's co-host unfortunately for us today is Kurt. When are you gonna stop talking shit about me being a co-host on this podcast? This isn't a shooting the shit episode. There's a there's a high our test

oscarone is high today. I feel like on this episode we're doing night vision. So today's a good episode. I think it's a good

episode because Kurt doesn't I think it's a good episode because we're talking about combat mindset and combat mindset is different. I think

overall different than any kind of thing that we talked about because I did a podcast on warrior mindset and yeah warrior mindsets

like the precursor when we talk combat mindset we're talking about the actual mindset you need to engage yourself in combat. So basically

executing all the things that you think you're capable of but not really. Yeah, until you really do it. Yeah, until you're proven. So yeah, it's gonna be an interesting

episode and before we go into the episode I want to answer a couple of questions that we get off social media and we often get

questions that turn into episodes like this one or that we like to answer and I'm gonna pull up a question now that was asked by a

guy in the US Marine Corps and he's a staff sergeant. It's a staff sergeant still. Yeah, the question he had he would love to hear our opinion or

insight on he comes from a traditional infantry background priority going to special operations. What was the difference in training

between the two? It was why it's that and it will go into the rest of this question because it's multi. There's a couple of them

in there. Yeah, so what is the difference between special operations and training between the two the infantry and NSF? My experience.

So I started off in the airborne infantry in the Army prior to going to to you know special forces or Army special operations and you know to be quite

honest a lot of the training was similar. I think the difference was there's a little bit less risk aversion in special operations as far as

the type of training that you do and then obviously you're getting a lot more training right and just based off of budgets. You know special operations has

a larger budget than the regular Army does so you know you get the opportunity to do a lot more. Yeah, it's it's almost an

opposite or just when you think about it because the mission requirements completely different you know when you're talking

about the infantry where you're working in a you're working with a team a squad a platoon you're doing large scale movements and you have

a lot of people that you have to train at the same time so it's you're not going to get that one on one that you're going to

get special operations. Yeah, you know you have like a good 18 Bravo or weapon sergeant who's educating the rest of the team and you get to focus on specific skill sets.
