talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we are going to be in the second Nephi 1 through 5, but as promised we are also going to talk about First Nephi 22 because we kind of skipped that part of the end of First Nephi.

So in 22, there's a definite message in there.

But before we get into the message, Bryce,

why don't you talk about Big Picture

as far as what's going on?

What's Nephi's objective here from a big picture

standpoint.

Okay, so if you'll remember where we've just been in terms of Lehi's dream

and Nephi's dream,

Lehi sees sources of happiness, love, and God's love, and then he sees

imitation happinesses, then he sees sources of help that lead us to the truth, and then blinders. And then Nephi kind of gets a historical version.

Now in Nephi's version, he's taken back to the Jews of the Savior's Day and he realizes

that they missed Jesus because they had a

mist in front of them and they just didn't he wasn't the Messiah they wanted.

So one blindness that Nephi is aware of is sometimes we miss the Savior because he's not what we expect.

He doesn't meet our expectations.

So what we need to do is we need to clearly understand what is the Messiah going to do.
