Jeff and I are going to chat a little bit about how to frame challenges as growth opportunities.

So one of the things that Victor Frankel wrote in his awesome book, Man's Search for Meaning, he says, when we are no longer able to

change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. So one of the things that we as fathers

can do is we can make sure that we are framing a challenge as a growth opportunity as opposed to a loss

because all of these opportunities to grow every time we face a challenge it creates

resilience and maturity and this is something you have to believe a lot as a father

but this is something that kids do not naturally believe. They will take challenges

oftentimes as something that is to, in a negative, as we would sort of by default. It actually

takes some amount of sort of training or reminding or even framing. And I really like that word.

It's like framing. And oftentimes when you frame challenges as an opportunity for growth or something exciting

or, you know, something to create resilience or maturity, it'll help you really help your

kids push through much more difficult challenges.
