And the shutdown continues this week. That's why I am bringing on Dr. Andrea Jones Roy so that we can explore the deep side of gridlock, the

systemic side, the underbelly of gridlock.

We're even going to get into what trench warfare has to do with gridlock.

So brace yourself because I think we're going to get wonky very quickly.

Before we jump in, however, I would like to thank all of you for the very kind birthday wishes that I received yesterday.

I had dinner and drinks at my favorite diner, Snuffies, which is, I think it's over on Route 44. I didn't even tell the staff it was my birthday, but all the same.

They found out, they trotted out the cake donkey, which is the donkey they keep only for special occasions.

It was very flattered, and it pulls out a cake cart and I was very touched. It was nice.

Bruce Nut is the resident musician at Snuffies. He usually plays guitar there on Wednesdays anyway, but he did this very cool rendition of Happy Birthday for me, which had the

standard chorus you're familiar with, but it also involved fighting Osama bin Laden and legalizing

CBD oil.

That man is a lyrical master, in my opinion. Thank Thank you Bruce. I also appreciate those of you who downloaded and reviewed my novels which are free on Amazon through Sunday. That helps me out a lot when you toss stars that way.
