Several he's been struggling with health problems for many years like his Facebook posts would be a lot of what's wrong with our

medical system and how it's failing him and so I've been watching kind of that

happen for a long time and he said earlier this week that he was calling hospice, that he knew

the end was coming and he just wanted to go as peacefully as he could.

And yesterday morning, it was announced that he did pass away.

And I guess the only not silver lining really but he did die peacefully.

I did want to quote one thing that he said.

He posted something a couple of days ago on his website. He was still in sound mind able to write. He wrote down, you know, I'm not afraid of death, but I am afraid to die painfully and with suffering. My hope is that hospice will put me on a morphine

so I don't feel anything, then I can slip away.
