I think we wanted to get to the most philosophical part of what we read, which is

So page 54 of our version, and let's just get really clear on the terms, we've thrown around infinite absolute universal

eternal all these things and they don't all mean the same thing for sure.

It's just it's confusing how for instance in the ethical work that we read before, the ethical leap was

embracing the universal, which is comes from Kant, right, that thinking universally

is thinking,

I'm not going to do this action for my reasons,

I'm going to do it for universal reasons.

We're going to do it for reasons that would work,

even if it were universal law.

So it is aligning yourself with the larger society with the larger system that is the

universal but yet you're supposed to jump into that and do it absolutely I'm not

sure what that means other than don't be whimsical about it.

Don't like be ethical one day and not be ethical the next day.

And it seemed even that earlier language somehow you were connecting with God, with

eternity by making this absolute choice.
