Sagar and Marshall here welcome back to the realignment.

We spent the last month or so covering the coronavirus and the factors led to its spread

across the globe.

If you listen to the last two episodes, you've heard us discuss the connection between

our supply chains to China and our inability to produce basic medical supplies.

Right, and that plays into a bigger question about the state of the virus in the Asia-Pacific

Europe and the Middle East which we covered here.

And an even bigger conversation which is how the Chinese Communist Party obscured the origins

of the virus.

You can remember we talked about that here with Tom Cotton, how it hampered the global

response.

And just the national security implications writ large of what this virus has done both

here to us at home, but about the way it's going to make us approach our future problems.

Now that we've set the stage, what we want to do in this episode and moving forward is

to say what's going to happen next.

So in that spirit we brought on Matt Stoller, a great friend of the show and he actually

was on our third episode which was titled Silicon Valley versus DC, came out last summer,

definitely go back and check it.

But now Matt has done a couple of things since then.
