All right, so I'm here trying to imagine what it would be like to go out in the morning, collect my mail, and in it receiving a monthly paycheck for being a slave descendant.

Here, sir, are your reparations. We are sorry for what we, well not we, because we

had nothing to do with it, did your ancestors hundreds of years ago. I don't think I would feel empowered.

I mean would you feel empowered? I don't think I would be like oh man now I'm really going to go and make something of myself now that I've got my reparations check no I think it would just be a monthly reminder of an ugly institution that honestly

had zero effect on my life.

And for a party that claims to be all about progress, handing black people slavery payments is really a

backwards thing to do I mean first of all first of all just to be practical here

how much money are we talking I mean just throw out a number here say 5,000 bucks a year

Which comes out to about 400 bucks a month and believe it or not that's actually a modest number because welfare payments are often more than that.

So if welfare payments haven't brought about this transformative remedy in the black community,

what makes anyone think that an amount less than that will. And yet if you were to pay every single black person in America that much money in reparations,

it would cost us $ hundred and eighty five billion dollars a year so you know we're not

exactly talking about a practical proposal here it's silly it's racebating at its

worst and it is not helpful to move us forward as a country.

Reparations, a reparations program would do zero, nothing, to get blacks on their feet any more than any other

handout program would and those haven't exactly been working like a charm.

It is just a way for Democrats to harken on the past and continue the politics of division

that have been so successful for them. I mean that's all they do. Divide.

That is what the Democrats are. They are backwards. They are the party of looking in the rearview mirror
