I am going to be ready for the weekend. I am going to be a little bit exhausted and spent after today's show.

We have a fantastic show planned for you today. It's just going to be you and me. If you're a long time listener, follower, viewer of this show, we've been on the air now maybe about 18 months, 16 months.

You know that I don't move my flag from over there to over here behind me unless I'm a little fired up.

I'm hoping that I'm going to be able to unpack everything that's on my mind as it relates to Kyrie Irvin, Kanye West,

and what's going on there and try to unpack it in a big picture way so that everybody understands exactly what's going on here that no one thinks that it's a black or white conversation that we don't fall into the racial trap that we're being led into.

The country, the direction of the country, our fate in this country is on the line right now and there are many of you that think it's going to be solved by the midterm elections or hoping it's going to be or improve.

I'm going to try to unpack a bigger narrative that goes far beyond politics, although it's related to politics. We're facing here is a legitimate existential threat to the way that we live here in this country and some of the rights and freedoms that we have taken for granted in this country.

I'm going to try to unpack how it impacts all of us. I want to try to maintain my emotions. I'm already emotional. I've been emotional all last night.

I'm going to try to take this morning thinking about this and this show and trying to conjure the necessary insight wisdom to deliver this in a way that connects.

I want you all before we get into this to say a short little prayer that, hey, give Jason the wisdom, the discipline to unpack and deliver this properly so that all that here, believe or non-believer or whatever, so that all that here will hear it in the way that it's intended to land.
