Welcome to Season 2 of the Dare to Be podcast.

This season, we're looking at what it takes to bounce back.

You know, I think it's easy to sometimes look at someone's life, even our lives.

I think it's easy sometimes for people to look when you're on the outside looking in and think,

oh, well, they've never struggled with what I've struggled with.

Well, they've never had to face what I've had to face. And,

you know, I know that I'm guilty of doing that sometimes when you look at something that

looks like they've got it all together. And especially when they are already somewhere or in a

position that you're hoping that you could be in. You think, oh, man, it was so easy for them.

You know, I hear that all

the time. One of the number one questions I actually get is, how do I do what you're doing?

Like, how do I want to be a singer, or I want to be this, or, and I think in the day and age

of the American idols and the voice and the, it looks like people have overnight success.

And some of you feel like, but I keep getting rejected.

I get rejected.

That door seems to close.

It's funny, I remember when I was in college and there was this boy that I was so desperate

to notice me.

And I was consistently rejected, which at the time seemed like it was earth-shattering.

And now that I have Bernie, I'm like, thank you for rejecting me.
