Summary

I have been fascinated by the amazing business model of Crowd Health, which puts you in a membership with 8,000 other health-minded people, and they crowd-fund all your healthcare needs.

In 3 years, they’ve 100% funded all but 6 of the 10,000 medical bills submitted to them!

I hadn’t joined until after this class, myself, this being my third conversation with this company–but I am now a member and LOVE the idea that my monthly contribution is funding the healthcare needs of other families, and by doing so, mine would be covered in the event of a crisis.

Good, old-fashioned American values extricating us to the overpriced, insanely bureaucratic current medical system. (And backed by Bitcoin, rather than the failing dollar.) This is an important topic, enjoy!

Welcome to Vibe.

And here's your host, Robin Openshaw.

I'm sure you read about the insurance company denying 37% of claims while paying its CEO $20 million a year

0:25.0

when the CEO was shot in New York City by an angry policyholder. I have something very

0:31.5

uplifting and exciting to share with you today. It's not exactly health insurance, but it's better, and it serves the same

0:39.2

purpose. And it counts as your health insurance in 46 states. I mean, it's not just a little better,

0:47.4

it's a lot better to the point where my daughter is in California, one of the states that

0:52.0

doesn't count it as health insurance, and she's likely about

0:56.5

to choose crowd health and just pay the tax penalty for being uninsured. It's that much better than the

1:03.9

high deductible, high premium, deny, deny health insurances. I haven't even experienced the health insurance denials as I keep paying and paying without making claims. I mean, that's the goal anyway, right? Since the last doctor I went to delivered my last child who is turning 25 years old. I'm blessed to not have claims. I've been going to a chiropractor

1:28.8

since a car accident 10 months ago, but that's a claim on car insurance. And even if you're

1:33.7

doing the preventative lifestyle things like I am, we all get in the car, right? And driving is both

1:39.9

necessary and also unavoidably dangerous. For a number of years, I switched to one of the

1:46.2

faith-based health share programs. I never really used it except the one time that I tried

1:52.2

to claim lab tests for my annual hormone visit. I think they paid $30 or 20% of the bill.

1:59.4

And I had to pay up front and seek reimbursement. After thousands I'd paid out for

2:04.6

several years. But like I said, good nutrition, exercise, and herbs won't be enough if we're in a

2:10.7

car accident. So crowd health is maybe the coolest thing I've discovered in the last year. They're a

2:17.0

crowdfunded healthcare solution

2:19.2

where every month you're asked for a donation for other members' health care needs. And there's a
