The United States does not have one justice system or one legal system. We often talk about changing the system, but in reality, we have 30,000 microsystems. Each microsystem has its own set of rules, laws, and politics, which is simultaneously great news in our fight to change the status quo, as well as horrible news. 1:24.0	I don't even know that anybody is a criminal.
1:27.0	People commit crimes.
1:29.0	But when we call it the criminal justice system,
1:31.0	we immediately are framing it in a way that is problematic.
1:36.3	But whatever you call it, whatever we call it, I need us to understand a bigger point.
