And on the first day of free agency, J.D. Martinez made the biggest news, deciding not to opt out of his contract with the Red Sox, dashing the dreams of many of you

who hoped he'd become a free agent and signed with the White Sox, especially when we had

John Tomasi of NBC Sports Boston on the podcast and he said Martinez was gone.

G-O-N-E gone.

What the blank was that? Anyway, here on the podcast, what happens now

with the White Sox and with Martinez? Will the White Sox try to trade for him? Which on the

surface seems possible and does take Scott Boris out of the equation, but this also can get really complicated.
